Games2win India Pvt. Ltd. is pleased to share its contribution toward eradicating avoidable blindness. According to the National Programme for Control of Blindness (NPCB), India is home to a third of the world’s visually challenged population. The country has around 12 million individuals with visual impairment as against the global total of 39 million.
From 14 August 2022 to 25 August 2022, Games2win India supported and sponsored 200 cataract surgeries that the Vision Foundation of India carried out. The initiative aimed to support socio-economically underprivileged individuals, who received free-of-cost eye surgeries in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, and Uttarakhand.
A few of the beneficiaries were elated to share their experiences and their life after surgery. One, Charan Jeet Grover from Faridabad shared: “Attended Free eye check-up camp supported by Vision Foundation Of India under the banner of Games2win India Private Limited. I was diagnosed with a cataract Problem in my right eye during the eye camp a few days earlier. Subsequently, I was operated at Tara Sansthan Totally Free of Cost. After Surgery, I regained my normal cataract-free vision and have no other surgery-related problem”.
Another expressed her gratitude, “I am Kalawati from Pasema, Kanpur. I got operated on my right eye, as I was having a cataract problem, this operation was held at Dr. Jawaharlal Rohatgi Smarak Netra Chikitsalaya at Kanpur. We received good services from the doctors and all the medical staff of this hospital. I especially want to thank Games2win India Private Limited and all who have supported my eye surgery.”
