Job Description

The Product Manager will be responsible for the existing and/or new games in development which includes delegating tasks to a team of designers, programmers and 2D/3D artists. He/She will be doing market studies of competitive games and continuously improving our games. He/She will be involved in discussing features, deadline, content with management. Prior experience in building digital entertainment products would be a strong advantage. 90% of our game players are outside of India, so you will be building for global audiences.


  • Researching the WHY for a new game and creating a matrix of competition and our game that justifies the effort.
  • Ideating and presenting deep & innovative ideas for new games, new features to improve our existing portfolio of games.
  • Be completely involved in the Level Designing of the games (with game designers and direct intervention).
  • Be the owner of the Game Design Document (A document that details the game specs, wireframes, gameplay etc) and closely monitor art, animation quality to ensure perfection and smooth user experience.
  • You must be very strong at numbers and analytics. It will be critical for you to craft Game Economics, monetisation strategies and the clever placement of in-apps that yield high revenue.
  • Plan analytics events and iterate on the game by using data analytics (Firebase).
  • Studying market trends and iterate quickly with moving trends.
  • Check the progress of the development of the games throughout all production stages.
  • Ensure communication with the Games2win management for project follow-up.
  • Lead a passionate team of artists, animators, analysts, creative writers, programmers and quality controllers.
  • Understand global sensitivities, aesthetics, and be able to delight a global game playing community!

  • Shipped at least 3+ apps on Play Store/App Store with a complete understanding of the-to-end production cycle.
  • Experience in Data Analytics and the Freemium Business Model.
  • A degree in Game Design / Fine Arts / Creative field would be an important asset.

Assignment 1: Understanding Game Economics and Monetisation

Our Super Wedding Stylist Game is one of our best-monetised games. A major portion of the revenue comes from Rewarded Ads.

It’s always a challenge to determine the ‘sweet spot’ of rewarded ads per asset in the game. Do we reduce the ads per asset or increase them? How much, which items etc?

Next, check this sheet that details which items in the game generate what volume of rewarded ads. It also describes in deep details the breakup of rewarded ads watched, for what, etc:

After playing the game and studying this sheet, explain what would be your approach to get to the ‘sweetest’ spot of rewarded ads in the game? Assume that you can do as many A-B tests, which experiments would you run and what would you determine?

Assignment 2: Managing a Game

Data: The game generates 15-20k Organic downloads day. It is ranked amongst the top 100 Racing Games in the Android Free Play ranks in the USA. The LTV of the game is about 30 cents (US).

A) If you were given complete ownership of this game, what would you do and why?

In your plan, share:

– Product enhancements, features, UI, UX suggestions, Monetisation ideas, Content plans.
– Team members you would require and their timelines to produce the game as per your specifications?
– How would you improve the game’s monetisation? Racing is a very high LTV genre in Mobile Casual Gaming. What you do to leverage the same (You could play competing games and share revenue idea and inspiration.)

Assignment 3: Owning a game:

At a later date, if you were given absolute independence to produce a game (assuming 6 months that include yourself, a game designer, artists & a programmer), which game would you like to produce and why? Note: We do not make Real Money Games (Teen Patti, Poker, Rummy, Fantasy. We also do not make games for the Indian market.)

Substantiate your pitch with monetisation, how will you research markets, categories, genres, your plan generate downloads, the differentiator and the long term value the game will create! This will give us an understanding of how you approach products and their value creation.
